TEST DRIVE # 17

Whether you're trying to figure out how your character would fare in this setting, trying to get some samples together, or just dipping your toes in the water, you've come to the right place! The Test Drive is here to make your life easy by letting you see what the game is like without actually joining it first. So here is how it works:
1: Post a starter with your character, including whether they are a god or shinki in the subject line.
2: Act like your character is established enough in the setting to allow your thread to go places.
3: Take on any god/shinki of your choosing, as long as they're not already in the game!
4: Comment around to the other people on the meme.
5: Have lots of fun!

Courtly Cadavers
Several dead bodies have very suddenly returned to life. Not only that, but they seem to be possessed by very courteous and polite spirits. So there are reports of half-rotten beings bowing down to young ladies and kissing their hands or holding open doors for other passersby. It's really nice, sure, but also really disturbing.
In the middle of the night, there is a spirit that keeps turning off all of the street lamps. Fortunately, there aren't many cars on the roads at this time. Unfortunately, the spirit is also putting out all of the cars' headlights as well. And no cell phone lights or flashlights work during that time either and it's starting to cause a lot of accidents.
There are eight blocks in downtown Tokyo that have taken to repeating endlessly. As you reach the end of the eight block, you find yourself stepping onto the first block again. No amount of turning or redirecting yourself will allow you to leave the eight blocks - until you stop by a cafe with a couple of bunny girls out front and make a purchase, that is.
Many in Tokyo want nothing more than to be on the cutting edge of technology! And there are some wealthy people who want to be even further ahead than everyone else. That's why they've sent out a general call for new types of technology to be brought to them. And if what you bring is impressive enough, you might get yourself a nice reward~
Several farms on the outskirts of the city have reported a very sudden and tremendous growth in their goats. That's right, there are two-story tall goats hanging out with the other farm animals. Other than being very large, they seem mostly the same. But since goats will eat anything, well... Let's just say a couple of farmers are going to need new barns soon.

If you're uncertain about anything, feel free to check out the Premise, Rules, and FAQ posts. And don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have on the FAQ!
When and if you're ready to join the game, check out the Taken Characters before throwing in a Reserve and starting on your Application
Have fun!
Toushirou Hitsugaya | Bleach | God
[Seeing dead bodies coming to life hardly registers to Toushirou. It’s something that isn’t particularly out of the norm for the shinigami, especially since after everything that has happened.
Nonetheless, he can’t really allow half-rotten corpses to walk around, so he prevents one of the corpses from getting close to a young lady, forcing them back.]
Go and rest in peace already. There’s nothing left for you here.
[He’s not sure if he’s able to send these spirits to peace, so talking to them is one way of going at it.]
Dark Deeds
[Toushirou pauses when he hears the accidents occurring, a soft sigh escaping from him as he leisurely jumps across rooftops to survey the damage.
His eyes narrows the moment he notices the spirit.
It’s enough for him to draw his zanpakuto, lowering his reiatsu enough to start to freeze the spirit in its tracks.]
Wildcard
[Make up your own prompt!]
Courtly
kidman in front of her. There's the faintest bit of tension in her hands but its gone as quickly as it came. From behind, Toushirou looks like someone fimilar, but only for brief moment.]It's useless.
no subject
With the way this is going, they're going to run rampant through the city.
[Honestly, he's a little tempted to see if he can cut them down, but might risk hurting the humans instead.]
no subject
[She looks less then impress with Toushirou, not understanding what he thinks he will accomplish by trying. Machi moves to step around him.]
Is your sword just for show?
no subject
[A glance at her.]
You standing here and talking to me does nothing either.
[Excuse him as he just jumps up to the nearest rooftop.]
Courtly Cadavers
And oh wasn't he just precious? Not very understanding though, the dead man was being rather nice, and she didn't want him to get all cranky and bitey and stabby like the ones back home.]
Oh um, but thank you anyway. You were very nice...[She struggled to find something kind to say to the undead in return. He probably was having a hard time being dead and all, so he probably needed some encouragement!] I hope you find the rest of your face, I'm sure it will look very nice all... back.. together...again.
[She trailed of as a shiver ran up her spine, because thinking about it, she realized he was really quite icky.]
no subject
It seems to get the undead to look sheepish enough to finally back off, even though it seems to want to try and get closer again.]
Leave.
[His tone is cold, chilling even that it has the undead scrambling away before it gets frozen.]
no subject
Oh and he was a mage too! Didn't look dressed warm enough to be using winter magic though. didn't his ears get cold? Well, she should probably thank him, even if she couldn't give him a hat. Patting him on the head was a good encouraging gesture for children, right? Right.]
Ma serannas da'len, that was very thoughtful of you!
no subject
He quickly ducks away from the head pat, looking far from amused at being treated like a child. Instead, he simply gives her a look, vaguely curious at the language she was speaking in.
Toushirou instead sighs.]
There's still more, so be careful.

cadavers
They're not making much trouble yet. If you're done here, let's look around for what's doing this.
no subject
[But either way, he'll start moving.]
no subject
[She glances up as a fish-like creature zooms to their location, swims up to Rekka for a second, and then takes off again.] This way.
["This way" being through a line of polite cadavers. Good work, fish.]
...What's your specialty? [If she'd thought about it more carefully, she would've worded that differently, but being a member of a secretive order makes her take certain things for granted, and Makai Priests tend to have specialties.]
no subject
How are you so sure about this way?
[But given how it's the only lead they got, he won't argue too much.
A slow blink.]
You'll need to elaborate on what you mean by 'specialty'.

Why more zombies though
Which is why she's quick to duck behind him, peering out around his side at the corpse, fingers clutching the dark fabric of his robes. ]
I don't think he's listening to you.
because it's zombies
However, he soon returns his attention back to the corpse as it shifts its course to head in his direction.
He sighs.]
The stubborn ones usually never do.
[Would it be too much to strike it down? No, not with the young girl currently clinging onto him, so he turns in her hold to grab her before he jumps up into the air.]
she didn't ask for this
Whoa! You can fly, too?!
poor nanako. she doesn't deserve the zombies
[He stands in the air as he would if he was standing on solid ground, though he continues to keep a hold of Nanako.
Toushirou peers down at the corpse before he shifts his attention to her.]
Can you fly?
does anyone deserve zombies though?
not at all. toushirou has experience with that and he's not happy
is there anything he doesn't have experience with at this point?
....good point. he's already died (again) and brought back to life--a lot happened
he needs a vacation
yes he does

1/2 cadavers!
It's not the answer Allen is used to hearing from other gods and shinki. Not against so unsightly an undead; what everyone would see as a monster
even if these are so well-mannered it's a little unsettling. The other boy-god drops down beside him, expression clear and a bit curious. Don't mind him.
Or his black and blood red left eye and how he seems to be looking through the cadaver. ]
These aren't their normal bodies. [ It's said so conversationally, as if by means of explanation. 'sup ]
2/2
Oh. ]
Ah. . . .
no subject
[If there were Hollows around, it'd be like a feeding ground to them, especially with this much spiritual energy coming around.
But he stares blankly when the woman is spurred into action, running away.]
.......
[He sighs, glancing at the corpse as it seems to be sulking.]
let the bodies hit the floor
[ This isn't the first of the charming undead to have cornered her today, unfortunately. It certainly wasn't the worst they could be doing, not by a long shot, but last time one of those creatures left a bit of their lip on her hand. ]
The only thing that seemed to work was a swift smack to the head. Not that I stuck around to see if they stayed down.
[ Not that the girl seemed to have anything to smack them with at the time. ]
that song--
A chilling glare has it scrambling away.]
Probably not. They're spirits, so it's easy for them to simply take possession of another corpse.
So apt?
[ Many didn't seem to be in any condition to be tearing themselves out of the ground or anything like that. Though the blue-haired girl pulls on a smile, barely containing the laughter with what she says next. ]
I suppose we should be grateful that they're not possessing living bodies.
very apt
[He doesn't seem to share the same delight, though he doesn't choose to say anything to her about it.]
It'd be more of a pain in the ass if they end up possessing any living bodies. Either way, it'd be a good idea to prevent more from spawning somehow.
TOTALLY not showing my age or anything
