HappeningsThe Near ShoreHeading into mid-July, Tanabata is over with, but Obon is coming up quickly. So there are still plenty of party preparations going around.- The streets are so busy that traffic jams are at an all-time high, leaving Near Shore residents irritated beyond reason.
- Students are on summer break, so there's tons of young people running around everywhere, making things even more
crowded. - Obon, Obon, Obon! It's seriously taking everything over right now. Be sure to get any lanterns you might need!
The Far ShoreWith Tanabata over, Orihime is focusing on getting everyone's outfits together for Obon. And there is a lot of work being put into erecting a new home for Amaterasu.- There is a very sudden increase in dead spirits just chilling out around the Far Shore. They're waiting to be sent back to their rest by their families on the Near Shore at Obon.
- A brief newsletter announcing that shinki will be soon receiving questionnaires about their satisfaction with their gods will be going around. Better treat your shinki well!
- Pyrotechnics are going crazy, getting together new and interesting ways to set fires. Probably a little concerning, considering the recent mishaps with fire, but at least this fire is in pretty colors and dances around like it's alive every night.
- There's also this weird, pulsating feeling that keeps rushing through the Far Shore heading up to Obon... how very strange...
Noteworthy AyakashiWith so many youngsters running rampant, they're being targeted heavily by the ayakashi.- A little mouse can be found running around the feet of every loose child around the area, causing the kids to trip, fall in holes, and in general be prone to more clumsiness than normal.
- Ever-shifting gelatinous blobs are busy squelching themselves onto recently released students, whispering in their ears about how their friends don't care, how they failed their tests,
and how their lives aren't worth anything.
WeatherHere you can see the weather starting on July 10.
