I'd throw in my vote for 2:1 haha. 3:1 works okay with events but with everything else it makes everything from individual character development to developing CR seem rushed, and also means it takes even longer to get anything done.

Like for shinki there's a bit about " Keep in mind that it can take several IC weeks or even months to learn a technique." Which in real time would be like. Months. or years, even. It makes it nearly impossible to even WANT to try and go for those things and it seems really unfair?

The game's gotten bigger and I feel like a 1:3 pace is holding things back/dragging it down. I don't like uneven day ratios but even 2:1 would be more encouraging at this point.

i'm superfast no matter what the ratio is so everything looks weird on my end, so i don't have anything to throw in about 3:1 vs 2:1, BUT i want to +1 the second point about how long it would take to learn a technique if we're using IC time as the gauge

i agree that it's somewhat unfair because gods don't have these limitations really at all -- i understand the need for it to take some time to learn an extra skill, but could OOC time be considered as the gauge, instead? 4 weeks OOC to learn a skill might be roughly a week and a half IC, but it's much more believable that ICly, it took ten days than OOCly, someone kept track for 4 months of one or two extra spells. for convenience's sake and organizational purposes, OOC time makes more sense to me

ADDITIONAL QUESTION ABOUT THE SKILLS THOUGH which i should probably put somewhere else but it's relevant here, whatever the decision is on skill-learning, could we get a table with concrete examples of some kind to follow? like

fire skill | ic time it takes to learn | power level
shield skill | ic time | power level

just so we could know what we're in for, idk, idk, it occurred to me as i wrote this up so i thought i'd throw it out there

I like the idea of making some things take an OOC length of time rather than an IC one! Some stuff should definitely be hard to earn (like the top tier spells), but for basic spells I'd think a month OOC is more reasonable than 4 months.
