Whether you're trying to figure out how your character would fare in this setting, trying to get some samples together, or just dipping your toes in the water, you've come to the right place! The Test Drive is here to make your life easy by letting you see what the game is like without actually joining it first. So here is how it works:
1: Post a starter with your character, including whether they are a god or shinki in the subject line.
2: Act like your character is established enough in the setting to allow your thread to go places.
3: Take on any god/shinki of your choosing, as long as they're not already in the game!
4: Comment around to the other people on the meme.
5: Have lots of fun!

Zombie Zoo
A local zoo is having a very serious problem. Specifically, a large number of its dead animals have suddenly come back to life! These animals have all died sometime in the past, over several decades, but now they're crawling out of their grave sites to join the other other animals in the zoo. It's not that they're causing any trouble, they act exactly as they did in life. It's just... really creepy, honestly.
A popular arcade is under siege by restless spirits. No matter how warm the owners try to keep the gaming areas, it's like an arctic tundra inside. The cold is starting to mess with the gaming systems and very few patrons are willing to deal with subzero temperatures just to play some dumb video games. It's quite likely there's an ayakashi plaguing the store, but it's a matter of finding out where exactly it's hiding.
Japan is taking some initiative to adopt a new system for the young people being born into their country! Much like Finland, they are starting a tradition where each new baby has a box of essentials gifted to their parents, which can also serve as a crib while the baby is still small enough to fit inside. You've been enlisted to help put these boxes together! Have fun with all the baby food and diapers.
Every god needs to be promoted, how else will they get followers, right? So that's your job! Go promote your god or, if you're a god, promote yourself! Whether your calling card is literally a card with your phone number or some graffiti sprayed onto every bus in Tokyo, it's all fair game. Just make sure it's going to bring in the customers.
An odd spirit has started following you around. It's the spirit of a dog, who is very intent on getting back to its master. Apparently its master really needs the dog in order to keep living a happy life, that's what you've gathered from all the barking and shoving at least. Whether you decide to help the dog find its master or help it reach the next world is up to you.

If you're uncertain about anything, feel free to check out the Premise, Rules, and FAQ posts. And don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have on the FAQ!
When and if you're ready to join the game, check out the Taken Characters before throwing in a Reserve and starting on your Application
Have fun!

[She's aware it would be easier to just help the spirit pass on instead of going on some bizarre game of hide and seek but, well, she's beaming. She's just happy to help this little doggy find his way home.
So, she carefully crouches to place the dog back on the ground and- Points off in a random direction!] Go get him, pochi!
[The dog sits and stare at her, his tail thumping against the ground.]

Though, thinking on it, he wouldn't have so persistently requested my help if he already knew where his master was located.
[He forgot about this. He was too dazzled by Yona. Welp, now it's time to think.] What do you think, Yona dear? A dog like this... Where in the city would it be from? If he's ended up in this area, its master can't be too far.

That... makes sense.
[She doesn't sound embarrassed. Jae-Ha's obviously the embarrassed one here. In fact nothing happened in the past ten seconds at all. Yona pops up into a standing position, fists clenched in front of her.]
Well! He's well behaved, looks cute and fluffy, and has a collar! He must be from a happy family that love him a lot!
[One of those things is not like the others. One of those things could be useful. Which one could it be?]

[With her so pumped, he'll also clench his fists in his determination. Moving over, he kneels beside the dog and shuffles the collar a bit to find the pendant attached. Even as spirits, you can keep things like this...]
There's an address right here! [He reads it aloud to her! But, ah, he can't carry her and the dog to this address...]

[It was right there in front of both of them. It was still a great find! She hefts up the dog again and looks at her poor, poor friend with the same expectant eyes. He's going to have to call the dog fat directly to her if he wants out of this.]

Wait just one minute! Carrying you or the dog separately would be no issue, but if you'd like me to keep a proper grip on both of you at the same time might be more difficult. Not to mention, even as a spirit, he's a very well-fed dog.

Finally, she holds out the dog towards him with a serious face.]
Get him there safely.
[Was there an other option than telling him carry the dog and leave her behind? This is Yona we're talking about.]

What he agrees with are her views. Her determination. That kind look on her face.]
I'll come back for you afterwards to let you know how it went. [Here he goes... picking up this fat dog in his arms, dear lord.] I won't be long.
