March Events!

We are pleased to announce that March will feature TWO events!

Power Palette Swap

OOC Dates: March 1st - March 8th
IC Dates: April 15th - April 18th
OPTIONS:
1. Swap Powers with another character!
2. Gain one (1) new power for the duration!
3. Swap appearances with someone - hairstyle, eye color, species, age, etc.!
4. Depower your character completely!
NOTE: This does NOT include swapping God/Shinki roles or gaining/losing memories.

Fourth Wall Event

OOC Dates: March 16th-March 24th
IC Dates: April 22nd - April 26th
WHO? Any character! OCs, CRAUs, anybody! Doesn't have to meet the criteria of an appable character to the Far Shore. This is OPEN to any player, including those who are not currently in the Far Shore game!
Gods or Shinki? The player bringing their character in is welcome to have their character experience partial or full memory loss, but they will not have the power set of Gods or Shinki.
HOW? The Fourth Wall characters will appear on the same day that the Intro Log will be going up.

AC Advance Reminder
You get a bonus reminder this month! Please turn in your AC and HMD if you haven't already! In approximately 24 hours or so from the time of this announcement, the official AC Warning List will go up. Any characters on the AC Warning List will no longer receive their AC Bonus to Tag Counts.

Am I correct in assuming that we can combine multiple options together? (ie. swap powers & appearance, or swap appearance and gain a new power if both are non-powered i guess)

Also how would something like a cybernetic implant work... if it gets swapped from one character to another, would it be like a "new" copy of the implant appearing in the second character? Or would it be more like the exact same implant with the exact same data on it moved from the first character into the second one? I'd make an educated guess based on circumstances but since we don't know yet how the event's gonna happen ICly I figured I'd ask :Ia

Unfortunately the event is designed such that only one Option is in effect at any given time. That being said, you are welcome to switch from one day to another.

Ah, that's too bad. If the appearance changes are tied to the powers being swapped around would that still count...? Like Add's weird mutations are a direct result of his powers, so if he's giving his powers to someone else would he also be able to temporarily lose the physical changes caused by them?

also you didn't answer my second question in the first comment. Would something like a high-tech modification to the body not count as a power for this?

Sorry I missed the second question.

Question #1 again - Yes mutations as a result of powers would count as part of the powers transfer, so you could have a 2-for-1 on that.

Question #2 for real - It may be because I'm canonblind, but I'm not sure what the data would have to do with a cybernetic implant moving? If someone had a robot arm and you wanted to use that as a physical trait swap, the other character would get the cybernetic arm, while the original character would get a "real" arm back. Does that help? If not, you're welcome to rephrase and I can try again.

oh lmao yeah I... can see now that my question was not worded super clearly. Sorry about that!! What I meant was Add's brain implant, which is a little less straightforward than something like a limb. It's what allows him to control his dynamos, but it's main purpose is actually to just store a fuckton of information on robotics for his reference. He basically downloaded the contents of an entire library to his brain. It wouldn't magically make the person a robotics genius, but it would be like constantly having google connected to your brain whenever you have a robotics-related question, if that makes sense.

Would transferring the implant also transfer the key knowledge it comes with? Or is that too much?

Ah ha, there we go. Given the nature of the event, I think they'd have access to the key knowledge along with it if the implant got transferred!

Okay so this is just to make sure because I want to be completely certain-

1) Can shinki completely lose their shinki powers? So, any spells they've learned, and their vessel power.

2) Would a shinki gaining a power be independent on vessel? Can they use their new power the same way they can spells?

1) Yes

2) However you'd like to specify the power! It could be a new shinki power or otherwise.
