September Tag Count -- Announcement

We have a quick announcement about tag counts for this month. We use comment tracking in order to compile tag counts for experience and follower gains for our players, and unfortunately, due to an issue at the beginning of the month, we've lost a little over two weeks' worth of data for the

thenearshore community's September comments. This does not affect

thefarshore comments, which will be counted as normal.

In order to make sure no one's experience/follower gains are unfairly penalized because of this, we'll be using the following process to do tag counts for this month.

By default, the formula for your total this month will be:

The PARTIAL log tag numbers that we have (covering about 1½ weeks of September) + either your AUGUST log total OR 50 log tags, whichever is greater.

In other words, if the number of log tags you did last month was less than 50, your September tag count will be (50 + the partial September numbers.) This includes new characters: the gap was towards the beginning of the month, so new characters have only lost about half a week's worth of tag totals.

If the number of log tags you did last month was greater than 50, your September tag count will be (August total log tags + the partial September numbers.)

If you have links for your own tags this month and you want an exact count for your September numbers, please comment to this post linking all threads on the thenearshore community that you tagged this month, and we will do the tag count from your links. This should include threads that began before September but that you were backtagging during the month.

For the manual count option, please reply to this post before midnight October 3rd.

For convenience, I've linked threads that were being backtagged directly to Ken's first comment that was made in September!

Assuming my own count is right, Ken had 84 tags in total(counting top levels). But I don't know how you guys count - and I'd want you to check my numbers in any case - so that may not be accurate.
