As usual, we are here to bring you the monthly announcements and request any feedback you guys can come up with.
We're going to start this month with an IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT regarding a change in the intro and event logs! Starting with June 2017, we will have two separate logs, one event log and one intro log, each month. The Event Log will be announced during the monthly announcements and go up on the 1st of each month at 7pm EST. The Intro Log will focus on training and introduction and will be posted on the 16th of each month at 7pm EST.
If you have any questions concerning this change, please feel free to reply to this post.
So, without further adieu, let's take a look at what June will bring us.
The Near Shore
- With the summer in full swing, tourists are flocking to Japan from all over the world, trying to get a glimpse of the Japanese culture.
- The beaches are packed with tourists and locals alike.
- There are several large music festivals throughout the coming days, with lots of camping and partying to accompany them.
- Akihabara has been overrun with foreign visitors! Lines are worse than ever here.
The Far Shore
- There has been a lot happening in the Heavens lately, causing several changes.
- The library is now hiring, due to a sudden decrease in goblins. Anyone interested should reply to the comment marked "Library" below.
- Construction on Amaterasu's temple is in full swing and she can be seen there helping out on most days, though the noise is quite loud.
- The shinki satisfaction survey is due to come out any day now! Many shinki are anxiously awaiting it.
Noteworthy Ayakashi
- With so many foreigners around, the ayakashi are taking advantage of having some new meat to try out.
- A certain ayakashi is lurking around the beaches and concerts. It is about a foot long and shaped much like a crab and pinches at the ankles of anyone it passes, inciting fights that often devolve into full-out brawls.
- Jealousy is a terrible thing and especially prevalent in otaku culture - where it's easy for one person to get lucky while another isn't. There is a snake-y ayakashi that is wrapping itself around the necks of those wrought with jealousy and slowly draining the life from them through that emotion.
Weather
- Here you can see the weather starting on July 21.
Prayers & Missions
- Several new prayers and missions have been added! Please note that the shortest timeframe missions are now focused on helping rebuild Amaterasu's temple.
Earth Turns Slowly
- The night is meant to be one for the residents of the Far Shore to unwind. They have all been invited to a firefly viewing on the Near Shore - a night to spend watching the fireflies and eating in peace. Unfortunately, things on the Near Shore are not always peaceful.

- To participate in the event, you will just need to comment to the event/intro log after it goes up on June 1 at 7PM EST.
A vent has opened unheeded nearby, allowing ayakashi to swarm to the mortal plane from the underworld. In an attempt to stay unnoticed, they have taken on the forms of fireflies themselves, though darker and slightly larger. And they have spent the evening brushing up against whoever is near enough and causing blights like crazy...
