TEST DRIVE # 15

Whether you're trying to figure out how your character would fare in this setting, trying to get some samples together, or just dipping your toes in the water, you've come to the right place! The Test Drive is here to make your life easy by letting you see what the game is like without actually joining it first. So here is how it works:

1: Post a starter with your character, including whether they are a god or shinki in the subject line.
2: Act like your character is established enough in the setting to allow your thread to go places.
3: Take on any god/shinki of your choosing, as long as they're not already in the game!
4: Comment around to the other people on the meme.
5: Have lots of fun!

To get you started, here are some ideas for thread-starters! Feel free to come up with your own ideas if these don't strike your fancy, though.

Sneaky Snakes

There are a number of snakes that have become possessed by a bunch of very sneaky ayakashi. They are slithering around, silently, snaring unsuspecting passersby into their trap - their trap to steal money. That's right, these snakes are busy snatching bills and coins from whoever they can. Try to put a stop to their thieving ways, or perhaps get thieved by them yourself.

Tummy Troubles

Many of the customers of a certain restaurant are complaining of the fact that their stomachs hurt after eating there. It could just be food poisoning, but many of these people are winding up in critical condition after a couple of days. It's time to figure out what the heck this cook is actually putting in the food.

Underwhelming Underwear

A family run business has been selling underwear for generations, but the underwear they sell is super boring and bland. Nobody wants to buy from them when cooler underwear is just around the corner. They've asked you to help them bring customers back in - by making their boring underwear seem as cool and hip as possible! How you do that is up to you.

Vividly Violet

There are so many ayakashi making their way through the air that at sunset the sky is turning an absolutely gorgeous shade of purple. Near Shore residents are reacting to this in varying ways. Many are delighted by the beautiful sky, but just as many are terrified that it's a sign of the end of times. Try to take down some ayakashi to make the sky less purple. Or just sit back and watch the beauty.

Wonder Wall

Anyways, there's this college boy who won't stop playing his acoustic guitar. He's from the US and is trying to pick up Japanese chicks. By now he should've somehow realized that they're totally not interested in him. But the song just keeps getting louder and louder and all that the people near the campus can hope is that today is gonna be the day that he stops playing. Maybe you're gonna be the one that saves them.

If you're uncertain about anything, feel free to check out the Premise, Rules, and FAQ posts. And don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have on the FAQ!

Have fun!

[When Chikusa mentions blowing up the stove...Tsuna's eyes grows wide. He wasn't serious when he said it! But he's thinking about it...]

N-no...but shouldn't that be the last resort?! [ He really would hate to do any sort of property damage. But it's just a stove...the business could always buy a new one and at least people wouldn't be sick. It wouldn't get rid of the ayakashi involved, but it will resolve the patron's safety.

He looks to Chikusa, feeling that the shinki will give him a brutally honest opinion.]

T-there's no other way is there?

You should probably evacuate the people in the building.

[Well. It’s. It’s sure an answer. Chikusa starts to shuffle his way through the kitchen to see what they can use for this sudden act of arson.]

Although just exploding the stove will only be a temporary measure…
goeshyper: ([Dame] Impossible?!)

[ Evacute the building? So Chikusa is really planning to do this?!]

B-but what about your god? If you do it, then they'll get stung.

[Tsuna doesn't perceive Chikusa as a very moral person, but he must know it's wrong to do this, especially if he needs to consider the safety of the restaurant staff and guests.]

I-I could do it instead? That way you don't have to needlessly hurt them. And I know it won't solve the problem, it'll buy everyone enough time to rend it.
kokuyoyo: (Tell him next time I'm going to be)

[And with that, Chikusa gives a confused blink, an emotion that actually shows on his face.]

...Why would I sting my god over something as small as this?
goeshyper: ([Dame] WTF?/ Can't believe)

W-well isn't this considered vandalism? Usually something like this is against the law.

[Tsuna raises an eyebrow at Chikusa's confusion. What's not to get? Even if they are ultimately helping people, they are still breaking rules. And that might affect Chikusa's god, especially if their shinki is doing the dirty work.]

I think it's considered arson, actually.

[What do you mean that's worse?]

Anyway.... A shinki only stings their god if they themselves feel guilt or negativity over their actions. But I feel no need to be guilty about something like this. It's trivial.... and necessary.

Isn't that much worse?!

[ How can you correct him with such a straight face? Though Tsuna has never really seen Chikusa make much distinguishable expressions anyway.

Tsuna can't suppress the incredulous look he's giving Chikusa. The shinki doesn't even feel guilty. Sure, it's a necessary evil, but it's still wrong. If the shinki doesn't feel bad, Tsuna definitely feels enough guilt and shame for the both of them.]

If it really doesn't bother you...then go ahead. [Tsuna never wants to ask someone to do what he is unwilling to do. If it would really jeopardize Chikusa's god, then Tsuna will take it upon himself to act. Though for now, he'll just do as the other say and evacuate the patrons.

He runs out of the kitchen and starts trying to keep people's attention. Though it almost seems as if he's invisible. People just seem to bump into him or ignore him. Of course, when he wants to be seen and heard, no one cares! So he decides to pull the fire alarm, setting off sirens. Now everyone is paying attention to him.]

F-fire! Everyone get out! This is not a drill! Or a prank!

[He hopes Chikusa is exploding that stove just to validate his claims.]
