TEST DRIVE # 15



Whether you're trying to figure out how your character would fare in this setting, trying to get some samples together, or just dipping your toes in the water, you've come to the right place! The Test Drive is here to make your life easy by letting you see what the game is like without actually joining it first. So here is how it works:

1: Post a starter with your character, including whether they are a god or shinki in the subject line.
2: Act like your character is established enough in the setting to allow your thread to go places.
3: Take on any god/shinki of your choosing, as long as they're not already in the game!
4: Comment around to the other people on the meme.
5: Have lots of fun!

To get you started, here are some ideas for thread-starters! Feel free to come up with your own ideas if these don't strike your fancy, though.



Sneaky Snakes

There are a number of snakes that have become possessed by a bunch of very sneaky ayakashi. They are slithering around, silently, snaring unsuspecting passersby into their trap - their trap to steal money. That's right, these snakes are busy snatching bills and coins from whoever they can. Try to put a stop to their thieving ways, or perhaps get thieved by them yourself.

Tummy Troubles

Many of the customers of a certain restaurant are complaining of the fact that their stomachs hurt after eating there. It could just be food poisoning, but many of these people are winding up in critical condition after a couple of days. It's time to figure out what the heck this cook is actually putting in the food.

Underwhelming Underwear

A family run business has been selling underwear for generations, but the underwear they sell is super boring and bland. Nobody wants to buy from them when cooler underwear is just around the corner. They've asked you to help them bring customers back in - by making their boring underwear seem as cool and hip as possible! How you do that is up to you.

Vividly Violet

There are so many ayakashi making their way through the air that at sunset the sky is turning an absolutely gorgeous shade of purple. Near Shore residents are reacting to this in varying ways. Many are delighted by the beautiful sky, but just as many are terrified that it's a sign of the end of times. Try to take down some ayakashi to make the sky less purple. Or just sit back and watch the beauty.

Wonder Wall

Anyways, there's this college boy who won't stop playing his acoustic guitar. He's from the US and is trying to pick up Japanese chicks. By now he should've somehow realized that they're totally not interested in him. But the song just keeps getting louder and louder and all that the people near the campus can hope is that today is gonna be the day that he stops playing. Maybe you're gonna be the one that saves them.

[Even if Lambo is older then his five year old self, he's still pretty sensitive. They weren't blood related, but he'll always look out for his lightning guardian, no matter what.

He supports Lambo as he stands up again.] Hungry,Lambo?

[Running and gathering snakes makes him surprisingly hungry. Though any excuse to get out of here is good!]

Me too! One of the few 5yr old Lambo I couldn't part with ._.

[ Truth be told, he needs the support both physically and emotionally. Lambo grew up too close to his babysitters, always cooking with them, setting the table with them, bathing with them, playing with them and the other Guardians protected him like them. The few times he saw combat as a kid, he didn't always know what was going on, couldn't build an immunity to the harsh reality of what it meant to be a Guardian of the Vongola. He was safeguarded for too long so as a teen he's more sensitive than most and add on his natural cowardly instincts and you've got this mess. ]

[ His eyes while dry, still shine from the unshed tears which he blinks back now at that sudden offer. ]

Maybe... a little.

[Tsuna does have some fault in that. It's important to him that Lambo had a normal life. Lambo was practically dumped onto them, and Tsuna wasn't sure of what kind of family will just hand their son over to strangers. Even when it came to fighting, he did want to keep Lambo out of it and protect him. Though, destiny always seem to involve the young Bovino, and Tsuna never took it as a sign that he couldn't avoid it. Maybe he's sheltered Lambo too much, and now he isn't as strong as he could be. However, he didn't want him to forget what is important to him.

Tsuna smiles as he agrees on getting food. Unfortunately, his mom isn't here to cook her delicious meals for them, but they could find something around.]

What do you want to eat?

[ Lambo would argue that he didn't do enough back then. But in reality, he never cared about the missions they went on - be it the end of the Vongola or the world. It didn't matter to the five year old, all he cared about was coming along. He didn't view the others as guardians but as his famiglia and like any younger sibling he was determined not to be left behind. His happiest memories that didn't involve Mama revolved around his time with the others. He would have been lonely if he'd left behind, so he was grateful that he could tag along, play with them and even help them through their trials and tribulations. ]

[ Mama's food, is of course, still the best. But he's also grown used to eating out a lot with all the missions he's given these days - secretary/errand boy. So, it's not long before he knows what he wants. ]

Gelato.

[Even if Lambo could be unreasonable at times, and it did make Tsuna guilty to involve him in their fights, he knows that the young Bovino didn't resent them. Although, he grew to be quite sensitive, not really prepared to handle the harsh realities of the world, he did benefit from his own misadventures. The abrupt situations he's been thrown into, has made him more aware of his surroundings and even able to think quickly on his feet. Lambo handled each situation well, and always seemed to come through for them. After seeing who Lambo can potentially become in ten years, Tsuna wasn't worried about him at all.]

G-gelato? [Somehow out of all the answers Tsuna expects, he doesn't anticipate that one. Though gelato is something from Italy, right? Would they have something like that here in Tokyo? It's a multicultural city, so there's bound to be a place offering it.

Tsuna starts walking forward.]

All right, gelato it is. But um...what's the difference between ice cream and gelato? [Tsuna thought they were similar, or one in the same.]

Yare, yare.

[ Lambo runs a hand through his dark mass of hair, pleased by the question. He's happiest when he feels he's being looked up too. It happens so rarely. The sign of a great hit-man wasn't just his skill with a gun - which he was a self-assured expert with - but they needed to keep up with the latest trends too which included fashion and cuisine alike. ]

I see you still have a lot to learn. It's a good thing [ a wink and a smile ] I'm here to serve the young Vongola.

[ Lambo, you're embarrassing. ]

Gelato is softer than ice cream with a more intense flavor that leaves a clean mouth at the end.

[ Somehow Tsuna can see a bit of that childhood obnoxiousness coming through, though like always the Vongola heir decides to humor the other. It's true that Lambo is more knowledgeable about this sort of thing. He's a native of Italy, and always shows great pride in where he comes from. So if Tsuna had to ask anyone, he'll of course ask the youthful, and hip Bovino.

At the explanation, he couldn't help but compare it to toothpaste, but that's not quite right.]

A clean mouth? You mean it's refreshing like um...a palate cleanser.
