What's that? You're interested in testing out what it would be like to join the wonderful world that is The Far Shore? Well then you have come to the right place! The Test Drive is here to make your life easy by letting you see how you would fare in our game without actually joining it first. So here is how it works:
1: Post a starter with your character, including whether they are a god or shinki in the subject line.
2: Act like your character is established enough in the setting to allow your thread to go places.
3: Take on any god/shinki of your choosing, as long as they're not already in the game!
4: Comment around to the other people on the meme.
5: Have lots of fun!

Alleviating Ayakashi
The age-old quest of destroying ayakashi is something that most gods and shinki participate in at some point or another. Lucky for you, there are a lot of the nasty things around. Unlucky for you, they kind of think that eating you would be a lot of fun. So let's hope you're experienced enough at combat to kill them! Or at least avoid them long enough for someone else to…
A request has come in from someone who is missing a person who was in their life a long time ago. They want you to find that person and bring them back, no matter what it takes! Unfortunately, the only description you're getting of the person is from when they were seven, and they're likely in their fifties now. But that little picture the requester gave you might help you in your search if you ask enough people! That is, if you can get their attention long enough to ask…
There are a lot of couples around lately and certain followers are so jealous of them that they are praying for certain couples to be torn apart. That might not be your cup of tea, but then again it might be, who knows! All you know is that the lovers you're following around are a couple of the most nauseatingly cute people you've ever seen in a relationship. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to break them up after all, just for the sanity of everyone around them…
Of course, with Valentine's Day just around the corner, there are plenty of young Japanese boys praying that they will receive chocolates from the girls that they like. Are you willing to play a little game of match-making? And how exactly are you supposed to push two people together when neither of them tends to notice you for long? Ah well, love is in the air and you might as well help it along!
Valentine's Day isn't only celebrated by the people of the Near Shore, though. Those of the Far Shore are often placed in positions where they have to exchange chocolates. So what exactly are you going to do? This can be obligation chocolate, friendship chocolate, chocolate to express your love, or anything else you can think of.

If you're uncertain about anything, feel free to check out the Premise, Rules, and FAQ posts. And don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have on the FAQ!

Have fun!

[Tsuzuki winks at him, turning towards him and offering the plate. Here's someone who can see him clearly, from across the street, which means he's either an unusually sensitive mortal or a fellow god. Shinki? Hard to say, without either seeing a name or seeing him in way less clothing than would be appropriate for street wear.]
You wouldn't happen to be interested in picking up some chocolates, would you? They don't have to be for a special someone, though if you've got a special someone why wait till White Day? Today's sale is a once-a-year event!

[Yuto narrows his eyes slightly. Winking won't help you convince him. Yuto isn't even planning to take any of that sample chocolates.]
Unfortunately, I don't have anyone special and I don't have any money to waste on chocolate either.
[Sorry, but you have to try convincing someone else.]

[This is the first person all day who Tsuzuki's actually been able to try out his whole pitch on, and he's going to give it his all. He keeps the tray outstretched. Look at the chocolates, whatever-your-name-is. Feel the pull of delicious, delicious chocolate.
That's gotta help, right? Tsuzuki knows it'd work on him.]
Just try one! Come on, it's a free sample.
no subject
[Wouldn't it be incredible weird to give your siblings chocolate for Valentine's Day?
Yuto gaze shifts from the guy to the tray. The boy frowns slightly, then sighs in a "I-give-up" manner.]
Alright, I'll take one.
[It's a free sample, so it won't hurt to take it. Still, even after Yuto takes the chocolate he doesn't eat it right away, but instead he keeps staring at it with somewhat suspicious look. Sometimes wishes he remembered why he's always so wary.]
no subject
[Tsuzuki lowers his voice to a confiding tone and points at the chocolate, which the guy's still holding in one hand as though he's afraid it'll bite him back.]
Hey, they're good, I promise. I tried one myself, you saw it!
no subject
Welcome to yugioh's weird hair colors. When the other points at the chocolate Yuto frowns a little more.] I know and yes, I saw that. [He just isn't sure why he's so paranoid.
But he eats the chocolate now.]
no subject
Hey, you can have another one to take home for him! Nobody else is eating them anyway...
[His tone is mournful. He was supposed to improve sales for the nice old lady who runs the shop, but he's barely even gotten anyone to notice him in these crowds, much less go into the shop. At this rate, he isn't going to be able to grant her prayer. What kind of god can't even boost chocolate sales on Valentine's Day?]
no subject
I don't remember.
[But even if one of them dyed his hair it would still not explain why they have completely different eye color. Still, Yuto doesn't care all that much. It would be probably really troublesome if they both looked identical.
At he offer, Yuto looks at the tray again, then he glances around.]
I'd be happy to help you, but people don't notice me either.
no subject
Maybe I should just stretch my arms out and block the whole sidewalk. Then they'd have to notice me a little.
[Anyway, people tend not to run into him, it's just that their attention never lingers long enough to pick up on the chocolates, or the sale. The longer they have to notice him, the better... right?]
no subject
But hearing the other's idea, Yuto only frowns.]
I suppose you could try that...
[Even if that sounds a bit extreme.]
no subject
That's nice! And a major upgrade.]
I wonder...
[He glances around and sets the chocolate tray on the inset ledge of the shop window. It's at knee level! Nobody's gonna knock it off or anything.]
Can you keep an eye on the tray? Thanks!
[And off he goes, arms spread, trying to physically shuffle the crowds towards the shop door.]
no subject
And yeah, sure. Yuto will keep an eye on the tray. Or actually he glances at the tray every now and then as he is watching what Tsuzuki is doing. As Yuto was thinking earlier, this plan does sound extreme, but with how gods and shinki go unnoticed by the crowd, it might actually be the best way to make people visit the shop... maybe.]
no subject
Four people have been shuffled towards the door and Tsuzuki is limping on a re-stepped-on foot when he returns to pick up the tray again.
He's grinning triumphantly, though.]
Hey, did you see that? It worked!
no subject
When Tsuzuki returns, Yuto looks at him with a slightly widened eyes.]
It really did, but... [He frowns a little.] ...Are you okay?
no subject
I think she thought I was going to steal something. She's pretty strong for her age...
[Which is, to be fair, probably about twenty years younger than Tsuzuki's age.]
no subject
If you say so.
[Then he falls silent for a moment or two, thinking.]
...Now I wonder, maybe instead of trying to get their attention you could make a sign about the sale?
no subject
Huh.
You know, that's not a bad thought! Hey -- can you draw? I can't at all!
[He bats his eyelashes at Yuto, jokingly. The kid had a sample chocolate! So maybe he'll stick around and help Tsuzuki with the sign a little? It's fair, right?]
no subject
But then gain, it's not like he doesn't want to help.
Yuto shrugs.]
I don't know. [He hasn't tried drawing anything. Could he draw when he was still alive?]
no subject
He holds out the tray of chocolates.] Hold this! I'll be right back.
[And disappears into the shop.]
