Character: Oona, an OC
About: Oona is a mermaid currently stuck in human form. When she was young (which for her was lie...60 years old) she was captured from the sea by scientists to be studied. She's been in captivity for about 20+ years and in her last year she finally was able to perform the magic to remove her tail (turning it into a palm-sized fish scale) to human form to try and escape. It was an imperfect job, however, and it causes her a great deal of pain to walk around, but she soldiers through. She's covered in old scars, some surgical, some not, especially around her throat/chest area.

Anyway, she was quickly recaptured and her scale taken from her. It'd be several long months before she'd escape again, this time killing any humans she came across and fleeing into the forest beyond. Which is about the point she's taken from so funtimes!!

She hates humans, but she's incredibly flighty and hypocritical-- if you're pretty enough or interesting enough she'll label you as "maybe not COMPLETELY terrible" and as an exception. She also refuses to tell lies and speaks rather quickly/brokenly bc she thinks humans waste too much time with words.

Also she hates clothes like... why... why are humans so weird?? So feel free to be v alarmed when she’s walking around in next to nothing and complaining about wanting to take things off bc it’s such a hassle. Her life is hard
God/Shinki: She's a god, Eris the Goddess of Chaos, Strife, and Discord. Her god power is Healing Kiss.
Plans: Mostly see how she grows and how her general refusal to lie will go here l m a o.... obviously she'll have to hedge on that some and get creative bc of the shinki involved so it'll be fun. I just wanna see how she'll grow!!

Pls get her some clothes... She's also totally going to get up to some Shenanigans bc she'll want to live up to her god domain thing.
Wanted CR: I'm up for both positive and negative CR right off the bat. Oona is extremely blunt and at a current place where she doesn't have a good hold on her temper. She throws tantrums, gets angry quickly, and is suspicious of humans and talks openly/flippantly about killing so I'm always up for people challenging and confronting her world-views.

Anything Else?:
Because of Oona’s broken speech patterns, sometimes what she says might not make sense. Please ask me OOCly for clarification if you think your character ICly should understand, and I will translate, otherwise please feel free to have your character going "the fuck are you saying??" Especially because she tends not to say "I" and that can get confusing fast sometimes.

Oona is kind of new to this 'chaos' business since for her chaos is "breaking a bunch of glass and killing people with it" so like. googling "pranks to pull on people" and asking for recs is definitely going to be a thing

Distracting will either be extremely effective or not effective at all, depending on how intent Hibiki is on whatever she's saying - she's not being told anything she doesn't know, after all...

The truth/lies thing - basically Hibiki has an almost-parody of a Tragic Backstory that involves everybody she thought actually cared about her only being interested in hanging out with her because she had a ton of money and gave them cool stuff. This led smol Hibiki to determine that the whole world is full of nothing but lying liars who lie, and also to become one herself going into acting was an accident but wow hibiki irony much. She has since come to see that there are some things in this world that are true, and now lies less herself. She also really, really likes anybody she can tell has no artifice or deception about them. So she might actually appreciate Oona's honesty!

...and be very conflicted if the super-honest person ever pointed out her own ridiculousness....

Dust still has some sympathy for the moment, and has a major advantage of being not human. So he has some patience for her, but at the same time isn't inclined to put up with talk about murdering humans and all that, so - could go any way? Regardless I'm willing to keep bouncing him off her to see what comes out of it.

About: Serious, introverted, and rather standoffish with people, she developed some interesting abilities following the violent deaths of her family that left her the only survivor. She lives at the base of a mountain infamous as a suicide spot and her entire canon basically revolves around her trying to stop these spirits on the mountain.

She's described by the director as "the story [is] of Yuuri taking in the emotions of the dead using Mitori and ending up becoming a shrine maiden. I thought of shrine maidens as an intermediary between life and death, so Yuuri had to be someone who was drifting in the rift between life and death - between being alive and dead - and if she took a single step she would have to go one way or the other. We were particularly careful to give her a look in her eyes that made you feel how in the middle she is. Eyes that look like she could go somewhere far away; eyes that look as though she could be called to by death at any moment. Grief-stricken eyes at the reality of eventually dying alone."
God/Shinki: God! Ixtab, the goddess of suicide. Her god-ability is Fear Manipulation.
Plans: Partnered with Neji and Hakkai! Best shinkis, be jelly.

Currently investigating the whole shit with the souls and demon summoning and WEIRD MASKS. She assumes the person behind the demon summoning, the zombies, and their being brought in as replacements is one and the same. She's more suspicious of the Heavens though, assuming also that they know more than they let on and are covering things up.

Also currently still recovering from the most recent event since it had to do with her domain specifically. She's got a personal stake in this all now since she feels a little personally attacked (I CAME HERE TO HAVE A GOOD TIME-- okay no), but she's going to be more focused now on figuring out THAT bullshit.

Wanted CR: Most of her old CR dropped so i'm slowly working on expanding her CR circle now and get her talking to people and out and about. Girl friends?? She needs girl friends.

I hope Neji still wants to lowkey ship her with someone bc that would be hilarious so I'm all for that.

She also has the ability to track down lost things or people so long as she has something connected to it/them and can sometimes see peoples' memories (usually their deaths or the next most traumatic thing) if she touches them. sooo yeah

About: Sole survivor of not one, but TWO huge disasters that have let her more than a little traumatized. A very kind, gentle girl who's easy to bully; she rarely tells someone no. Repressed memories of her childhood until at 19 she was forced to go back through and relive the moments as an adult to piece her broken mind back together. She's shy and polite but has difficulties forming connections with people due to her past.

Basically she was in an airship crash at 8 and lost her family, kidnapped from the wreckage by a crazy man who made her crossdress as his son for a year before she was rescued by another 9 y/o girl named Wendy from a near-b orphanage. And when she found a puppy to take care of, the girl turned on Jennifer bc she was jealous and made everyone bully her horribly (including, but not limited to stealing her clothes, shoving rats tied to sticks in her face, tying her up in a sack they shoved bugs and rotten food into and leaving her outside overnight...) Girl then ordered her dog killed and Jennifer snapped, hit her, and told everyone off. They decided to make Jennifer the new Princess of the Red Rose, but Wendy found the man who'd kidnapped Jennifer, made him MORE crazy, and set him on the orpanage where he killed everyone but Jennifer, including Wendy, and then suicided in front of her bc he recognized her as his "son."

She was 9. Yeah.
God/Shinki: She's a shinki! Partnered to Local Asshole Loki/Schuldig. Despite it all, she's still loyal to him and takes her job fairly seriously. I say "fairly" only bc she's ALSO nora'd, at her own request, to Hijikata/Hachiman
Plans: Fairly recently, IC-wise, she's regained one of her memories, an important one that shows her finally losing her temper and beating up a bully (pls imagine jennifer shouting or hitting anyone it's Great) and deciding to never be such a weak, cowardly person again. Jennifer's taken those feelings from this childhood memory and is using it to try and start herself down a path to becoming a stronger person.

And figure out wtf she's supposed to do with Crawford and Schuldig and where she fits in with all their plans.
Wanted CR: just makes grabby hands I need to make Jennifer more social. She has a lot of people she considers herself on friedly terms with, but she almost never considers someone a friend unless they say so first; not bc she's mean or w/e but bc she just can't imagine someone wanting to be friends with her? So she just assumes it's never a deep connection. (There are a couple exceptions rn but in general)

I want her to make deeper connections.

About: 14 year old tiny girl who is very sweet and shy, she has a tendency to get confused and uncomfortable when people are nice to her because she's not used to it and doesn't really know what to do with it. She was in a car accident that caused severe internal damage, but her mother loudly declared that "no one wanted that girl to live this long anyhow" and Chrome ended up striking a deal with the almost-literal devil to live because of it. Because said almost-devil told her that he needed her and it was the first time she'd ever felt needed or wanted by someone s she escaped the hospital and got dragged into MAFIA SHENANIGANS.

Also she's an assassin (more or less) and the Mist Guardian to the next head of the most powerful mafia family in the world and castmate of Hibari Kyouya and Chikusa and Ken. Her and Hibari are actually part of the same mafia family! Which might be hard to believe given their vastly different personalities lol Her, Ken, and Chikusa are also part of another team and she's going to be really sad he doesn't remember her.

She's also capable of weaving very powerful illusions-- in fact, it's her illusions that are keeping her alive! She has little to no working organs and is using her illusions to trick her body that it's not dying. If/when her illusions fail her stomach caves in and she starts coughing up blood everywhere IT'S GREAT good times.
God/Shinki: God! She's Nephthys! Egyptian goddess of death, service, lamentation, nighttime and rivers. Her god ability is poisonous blood.
Plans: Partnered with Hokuto!

She's still kind of like "ah shit what do" because ALL of her castmates are shinki so she's kind of sad about it and not really convinced that just trying to befriend them anyhow is a good idea. But now she's really interested in figuring out how to break whatever's causing the amnesia WITHOUT murdering her friends so she'd be willing to to get involved with people looking into stuff.

also literally all her castmates are shinki so she'd like. really sad about it lMAO let her live. someone throw her a bone here.
Wanted CR: FRI...ENDS?? I warn that Chrome may just straight up try to run away from overly nice/friendly people or if the thread suddenly turns into something like that, because she's still getting used to dealing with it. It is literally nothing OOCly against you or your character or anything, it's just who Chrome is as a person and it's terrible. If you're terrible to her she's like cool i got this. but super nice and you're not one of her castmates she expects it from? ??? ???? pANIC.

also more people to know she, hibari, chikusa, and ken are from the same world and lived/worked together more or less (she lived with Chikusa and Ken, worked with/is part of the same mafia family with Hibari) and be like "lol wat" since she's so different from them personality-wise
