Plans: He has two shinki and a nora who he should... do prayers with. Finally. Yes. Also, trips are planned, so he will be able to get out more. Otherwise, what he's doing is pretty much on a "Hey, let's do this" basis.

Silver Haired Horror

Character: Sephiroth

About: That FFVII science-experiment-turned-giant-egotistical-asshole. Likes: Long swords, stabbing people with long swords, and feeling superior. Dislikes: Inferiority, people who talk, and pretty much everything else. Sephiroth is pretty much a jerk who's saving grace is that he is very good at fighting and can occassionally not act like a total asshole. Rarely. In other words, he's the pez dispenser for antagonistic CR.

God/Shinki: Shinki

Plans: Zack is Sephiroth's god. Muse and I would both be pleased as punch if Zack were to get some complaints about Sephiroth being an ass. It's a small dream, but one near an dear to our hearts if anyone would like to help us reach this goal. Help us blow up Zack's inbox until he gets so sick of it that he locks Sephiroth in sword form?

Other things I will probably do with him is exploring, learning more about what it is to be shinki (possibly for his own uh applications) and such things. He's probably going to learn the lesson of 'no really, you aren't the best thing since sliced bread' the hard way this month.

Wanted CR: I put nothing off the table, but obviously things like Sephiroth making friends - if that's even possible - are, well, longer term projects if there are those characters who even think wading through all that ego is worthwhile. So, frenemies, people who think this all sucks as much as he does, and straight out head butting CR are more likely at this point.

I love fighting, sparring, etc, so if that's your cuppa, let's see if we can make it happen.

Unwanted CR: I'm open to pretty much anything as long as it makes sense for the characters!

Yuri Kozukata | Fatal Frame V: Maiden of Black Water

About: Serious, introverted, and rather standoffish with people, she developed some interesting abilities following the violent deaths of her family that left her the only survivor (implied to be a traffic accident of some kind). She lives at the base of a mountain infamous as a suicide spot and her entire canon basically revolves around her trying to stop these spirits on the mountain. It's implied she's a descendant of the priestesses there who used to watch people commit suicide and take on the burden of their sins so they could move on to heaven without the sin of killing themselves holding them back, which is where Yuri's powers come from.

She's described by the director as "the story [is] of Yuuri taking in the emotions of the dead using Mitori and ending up becoming a shrine maiden. I thought of shrine maidens as an intermediary between life and death, so Yuuri had to be someone who was drifting in the rift between life and death - between being alive and dead - and if she took a single step she would have to go one way or the other. We were particularly careful to give her a look in her eyes that made you feel how in the middle she is. Eyes that look like she could go somewhere far away; eyes that look as though she could be called to by death at any moment. Grief-stricken eyes at the reality of eventually dying alone."

Her god ability is Fear manipulation
God/Shinki: God! She's Ixtab, the Goddess of Suicides
Plans: Her partner is Neji Hyuga who is Super Serious about Yuri being a proper god. Yuri indulges him from time to time in this, like wearing her fancy robes she regained.

For the most part she's hanging with Gojyo, Hakkai, Kurama, Shun, and Ukoku but I'm looking to expand that as I can. She's been trying to learn chess as much as possible in the hopes of beating Ukoku (it'll never happen but look she can try). She's also been attending classes at a couple universities, taking advantage of the fact most humans can't see the gods and all.

Also working on training her abilities so she has fewer accidents at seeing others' memories and trauma however you can pull this cheap CR/development springboard grab out of my cold dead hands so it'll never be perfected. BUT a part of that is her trying to get more physical with people. Not that she'll go out of her way to be touchy but she's trying to be less guarded and allow people to be physically affectionate/physical with her more to train it.
Wanted CR: I'm really interested in exploring more of the darker side of Yuri's god domain and the toll it's taking on her. She's largely pretty neutral on everything happening re: nora and the heavens and everything, she just wants information.

If anyone wants their character to relive their own traumas (shinki need not apply to this unless you really want an excuse for your character to die LAUGHS....) hmu

Character: Makoto Tachibana
About: Makoto is a sweet, puppy-dog, jock character. He's not very good with anything that requires fine detail, but he's pretty good at most physical activities. (Including being a really good shot? wtf Makoto?)
He's the team mom and has a good heart. He also doesn't like to show when he's hurting because he doesn't want to trouble anyone else, so he'll smile through his pain even towards his closest friends.
God/Shinki: God: Poseidon
Plans: Haru is his shinki and eventually that's going to blow up in his face since Haru is particularly difficult to make a bond with. He's also going to meet up a lot with his friends to make sure they're doing all right with everything that's going on and try to put on a brave face for everyone. ALSO! Training with Hijikata because he's a weenie and needs to learn how to protect himself and Haru.

Other than that, please plot with me! I'm up for most things.

Sanzang | Saiyuki: Journey to the West/Warriors Orochi

About: She's the female version of a certain infamous priest, Genjo Sanzo. She's originally from Saiyuki: Journey West, but she's from specifically the Warriors Orochi 3 game since Koei tends to bring back characters from their older games into the Orochi titles. She's super sweet and cheerful, and described as "everyone's idol" type. She wants everyone to get along and be friendly, but despite her kind ways she's a really mean scrapper. In fact she's one of the few versions of Sanzo that employs a direct attack style. In Journey she whacked demons to death with her staff, but in Orochi she has Chinese watersleeves she uses to beat the shit out of people.

In general though she just wants everyone to get along. She also can heal people or strengthen them or whatever through her dancing, which she loves to do to cheer people up and help them relax!

As an aside, her god ability is Empathic Healing.
God/Shinki: God! Kanzeon, Goddess of Mercy and Compassion
Plans: Her assigned partner is now Chuuya, whom she's made promise to forever be loyal to her and never betray her and oh yeah he's free to kill the nora she has if THEY ever turn on her. (To be completely fair that promise was made like 90% to make Chuuya happy, not because she actually wants him to, and because she's 100% it'll never have to happen).

That said she also has two nora: Barry Goodman and her other half Genjo Sanzo.

Plans-wise I have nothing for her, but Sanzang is a pretty good catalyst for launching others' plans if anyone needs an excuse for something. She's enthusiastic and loves to help people out so if you're like "boy I want my character to gt involved in X or be at this place but don't have an IC means for them to be there on their own" I'm okay with Sanzang being used as the reason. She'll just cheerfully steamroll over all protests to get them there.

Her temple also is home to a bunch of mischievous monkeys, so if anyone ever wants to complain to her about her monkeys getting out or do something with them causing trouble, please feel free to. I have no doubt they'd pop over to other temples and fuck things up for the hell of it so again feel free to use it as a catalyst for your own plots as needed.

I also encourage people to notice how close she and Sanzo are and tease them about it tbqh. They're oblivious to their own shit and don't see how it can come across (y'all are the ones making it weird!!) so it's fun!!

Wanted CR: She also needs people to tell her to take it down a notch and force her to relax, because she's definitely the type to take on way too much responsibility. Others pain becomes her pain and she puts too much on herself trying to help, so pls tell her to take a rest.
Unwanted CR: the limit does not exist etc etc

Character: Jade effing Curtiss
About: The total opposite of Makoto. lmfao. Jade is a very intelligent, sarcastic, impish older man. He usually has a smile on his face to hide whatever he might be thinking. Which, he's usually thinking about everything and anything all at once because he's a genius. He's also quick to sarcasm and snark when facing someone he thinks is an idiot or just fun to mess with.

Other than that, he's actually an interesting character because he is capable of making friends. He's just selective and hard to get close to.
God/Shinki: Shinki
Plans: Jade belongs to Watanuki. Plans are anything Watanuki is doing since he feels bound to him by duty. I would like for him to hang out with Guy a bit more. AND he's doing a lot of research between gods/shinki and going to be compiling a lot more.

Eventually, I want him to start delving into more dangerous territories of research because thaaaaaat's Jade.

Character: Tsuzuki Asato
About: Scatterbrained dead guy with a sweet tooth and a tragic past. Tsuzuki's a former god of death with plenty of afterlife-related and heavenly knowledge, although his version of the Japanese pantheon's heaven isn't exactly congruent with the Noragami version. He's generally a good-natured and caring person, although he can also be annoying and unreliable.
God/Shinki: God -- Tajimamori, the god of sweets.
Plans: Tsuzuki has two shinki, Lilka Eleniak and Battler Ushironomiya. He's been poking his nose into various aspects of the metaplot, and has also offered his assistance with executing the spells that Ukoku Sanzo has been reconstructing from Sho's notes. In the meantime, he's trying to keep things cheerful and provide a nice home for his shinki.

He needs to work with Lilka on figuring out combat using her powers (and, Lilka-mun, if you want to do any prayers with the two of them I'd be up for that too!) and I'm hoping to push him a little out of his t, because he's currently trying a little too hard to be okay and could in fact use a good cry on someone's shoulder.

Wanted CR: Friends (especially fellow Really Old People, though he's pretty open to friendship with anyone from mid-teens up), crushes/casual romantic involvement, people who are interested in manipulating him or using him for the information he's gathered (I'm not as interested in people who're strictly going to troll, but Tsuzuki's quite powerful and gullible, so he could be of interest to scheming sorts) and if there's anyone who gets really annoyed by casual incompetence, I'd enjoy "mutual petty sniping" type negative CR, too!

Unwanted CR: I'm open to anything.



Character: Cho Hakkai
About: Polite, smiling schoolteacher and homemaker with a side of shockingly violent mass murderer. A Stepford smiler par excellence. Hakkai can be passive-aggressive, sarcastic, controlling and judgmental, but he's also helpful and caring to people who are kind and friendly to him. He's got a soft spot for animals and children, and plenty of patience for his students.

He's also currently walking around without his youkai power limiters on, so he's got pointy ears, one yellow eye, claws and dark green vine tattoos all over his body.
God/Shinki: Shinki of Dionysus
Plans: Hakkai's tutoring some current students at Dionysus' temple and has been increasingly concerned about his own memories returning. He's trying to stay somewhat low-profile at the moment, but would also like to assist with finding a new building to hold classes for anyone who wants academic or practical lessons.

Wanted CR: Students, fellow thoughtful/plotty types or cynics, non-humans (please, come be non-human with Hakkai! He's feeling a bit awkward about the people his youkai face freaks out) and shinki who are looking to learn to cast borderlines or for information about the heavens! I'm also down for negative CR, though he tends to avoid people he dislikes whenever possible and may escalate to violence if he feels that someone poses a threat to himself or his close CR.

Unwanted CR: Not looking for romantic CR for Hakkai at the moment he's got complicated feelings going on and doesn't need any more.

Basically, if it's got a decent balance of action scenes and characters I can care about enough to cry about, I'm a happy camper, bonus points for magic, metaphors, and/or space. Some of the prominent ones include Discworld, samurai feelings Hell a number of Shinsengumi and other historical Japanese fandoms, Mononoke, Firefly, CLAMP fandoms, old-ass anime like Cowboy Bebop and Utena and Evangelion, the Devil is a Part-Timer!, Tolkien fandom, Steven Universe, Star Wars (mostly but not exclusively the original trilogy and the new material from the last couple of years), tabletop RPGs

Character: Toshizou Hijikata (Peacemaker Kurogane)
About: Hijikata is a big, tough, chain-smoking, stoic, serious, not-to-be-crossed type who used to be one of the leaders of a military unit, and spent his mortal life clawing his way up from the farming class to eventually be made into a proper samurai.

Don't let that throw you off, though. Underneath all that, he's actually quite protective and caring, the sort of person to consciously take on the burden of always being Strong and Pragmatic so other people don't have to. He's also surprisingly idealistic on the inside, a big old poetry nerd, and rather more open in his moments of kindness and sentimentality than he used to be, since he's already been through losing pretty much he cared for and regretting the things he didn't say to them early enough. (Woe still betide anyone who hurts the people he cares about, though...)

tl;dr, he's a grump, but also a big protective teddy bear who's been hurt a lot and just wants to take care of everyone.
God/Shinki: God - Hachiman, a Japanese god of warriors, archery, and protection. Basically the god of Ideal Samurai-ness.
Plans: Hijikata has one shinki right now, and is content, but could totally be open to having more if someone else needed him. Plans for the month include: an open log involving reflecting on the trajectory of Japanese history since his death, introducing him to modern fashion (he's not sure if he's intrigued or appalled), whatever game events are going on, continuing to try and deal with the whole "feelings for my shinki" situation. Longer-term and more general plans include building more CR, doing lots of prayers and ayakashi-fighting, and working on learning more about the heavens and their history and internal politics!
Wanted CR:
-Friends in general! Most of his are dead, so like, he could use more.
-Cheerful or weird people who will drive him up a wall! Frankly, this tends to overlap with "friends," even if he doesn't want to admit it.
-Some kind of "my shinki forgot me and we were Kind Of A Thing, what do?" support group??
-Proteges! Hijikata ended up as something of a Father to his Men sort of figure, and he misses his men, so anyone he could be a mentor / guide figure to, hit me up c:
-Smoking and/or grumping buddies! Come on, fellow old men shouting at clouds, I know you're out there.
-Negative CR! He can be blunt, abrasive, pessimistic, and short-tempered, so there are plenty of reasons someone might not take to him, and that is a-okay with me. On his end, he can't freaking stand people who value class over Good Honest Hard Work or self-important people, and if he suspects you are a Bad Person to the point of being a threat to what he wants to protect, he'll fight you forever.
-Fellow plotty-scheme-y types! Help him investigate all the mysteries around the heavens and build an intelligence network? Get involved in a tense, months-long strategic standoff against each other? Some weird combination of the above? hmu!
Unwanted CR: None, but romantic CR is unlikely to be a feasible thing, since he's in an It's Complicated (My Shinki Doesn't Remember That We're Basically Married With A Kid)

Anything Else?: This fandom has far too few gifs, so have this completely out of context screencap.
