October OOC Intro/CR Meme

Welcome aboard, newcomers! And welcome back to those who have stuck around! It's the time of the month when we add newbies to our ranks. So here is a new Intro/CR Meme in order to get you set for the coming month.

What do you need to do? Simple! Fill in the handy form provided with as much or as little information as you want to and reply here. New players or old players bringing in new characters should respond specifically to the 'Newbies' thread. Then, go about responding to other people's introductions as well. It's that easy!

Hobbies: Gardening, baking, reading, various crafty stuff (recently, crochet) and spoiling the living shit out of my cats.
Fandoms: Saiyuki, X-Files, Yami no Matsuei, Hikari no Go, Hunter x Hunter, Due South, Doctor Who/Torchwood, Star Wars, Kingdom Hearts, Babylon 5 and generally a whole bunch of decade-plus old series and novels. (Ask me for book recs. I do book recs.)

Character: Tsuzuki Asato
About: Scatterbrained dead guy with a sweet tooth and a tragic past. Tsuzuki's a former god of death with plenty of afterlife-related and heavenly knowledge, although his version of the Japanese pantheon's heaven isn't exactly congruent with the Noragami version. He's generally a good-natured and caring person, although he can also be annoying and unreliable.
God/Shinki: God -- Tajimamori, the god of sweets.
Plans: Tsuzuki has two shinki, Lilka Eleniak and Battler Ushironomiya. He's been poking his nose into various aspects of the metaplot, and has also offered his assistance with executing the spells that Ukoku Sanzo has been reconstructing from Sho's notes. In the meantime, he's trying to keep things cheerful and provide a nice home for his shinki.

He needs to work with Lilka on figuring out combat using her powers (and, Lilka-mun, if you want to do any prayers with the two of them I'd be up for that too!) and I'm hoping to push him a little out of his t, because he's currently trying a little too hard to be okay and could in fact use a good cry on someone's shoulder.

Wanted CR: Friends (especially fellow Really Old People, though he's pretty open to friendship with anyone from mid-teens up), crushes/casual romantic involvement, people who are interested in manipulating him or using him for the information he's gathered (I'm not as interested in people who're strictly going to troll, but Tsuzuki's quite powerful and gullible, so he could be of interest to scheming sorts) and if there's anyone who gets really annoyed by casual incompetence, I'd enjoy "mutual petty sniping" type negative CR, too!

Unwanted CR: I'm open to anything.

Character: Cho Hakkai
About: Polite, smiling schoolteacher and homemaker with a side of shockingly violent mass murderer. A Stepford smiler par excellence. Hakkai can be passive-aggressive, sarcastic, controlling and judgmental, but he's also helpful and caring to people who are kind and friendly to him. He's got a soft spot for animals and children, and plenty of patience for his students.

He's also currently walking around without his youkai power limiters on, so he's got pointy ears, one yellow eye, claws and dark green vine tattoos all over his body.
God/Shinki: Shinki of Dionysus
Plans: Hakkai's tutoring some current students at Dionysus' temple and has been increasingly concerned about his own memories returning. He's trying to stay somewhat low-profile at the moment, but would also like to assist with finding a new building to hold classes for anyone who wants academic or practical lessons.

Wanted CR: Students, fellow thoughtful/plotty types or cynics, non-humans (please, come be non-human with Hakkai! He's feeling a bit awkward about the people his youkai face freaks out) and shinki who are looking to learn to cast borderlines or for information about the heavens! I'm also down for negative CR, though he tends to avoid people he dislikes whenever possible and may escalate to violence if he feels that someone poses a threat to himself or his close CR.

Unwanted CR: Not looking for romantic CR for Hakkai at the moment ~~he's got complicated feelings going on and doesn't need any more.~~

I'd like some CR between Jade and Hakkai. They're both thinky-shinki and I think they could come up with some interesting things for Jade to research since Jade's research is pretty harmless, ~~for the moment~~.

Absolutely! Hakkai'll be a bit distracted the next couple of days ICly and won't be very chatty, but I've been thinking he needs an open log after that, possibly for poking his nose around the Heavens looking for abandoned temples to turn into new schools... maybe we could have them run into each other then?

Same with Jade. He'll be compiling all of that information he got from his survey and organizing it and trying to teach his god how to use him.

But yeah! That sounds like a good plan!

Awesome! Haha, I did think about throwing Hakkai at that survey, but giving a stranger a bunch of personal information just didn't work for him....

I think Makoto and Tsuzuki would get along fantastically. ~~Makoto really likes chocolate, soooo....~~

Makoto has the capability to make friends. He's not Really Old, but at least he's late teens?

Hey, close enough! Pffft, chocolate lovers are always good for Tsuzuki bonding. Hakkai might have to wind up sending Makoto a recipe or two, too....

Makoto's still used to being a god and stuff, so he'll need someone to talk to that's been one longer. So idk! Something along those lines?

And thank you, Hakkai. ;u; He needs all the help he can get.

You know, actually, with Gojyo missing for a few days it's a good excuse for Hakkai to drop by and hot spring it up. He's going to need to unblight himself a bit, and possibly also attempt to relax. (Maybe vent a bit, too, if appropriately prodded....)

He should definitely talk to Yuri, too! I'm not sure yet how the chess game's going to turn out but he can teach her a bit regardless.

I've really enjoyed Hiji's CR with Tsuzuki so far, and would really love to see them keep building that up! Metaplot things are, of course, of interest to me... or just like, having tea and talking about life like old-ass men, or Tsuzuki being a shipper on deck for Hiji and Souji... Anything, really!

Yes! Absolutely. Tsuzuki's a little lost for ideas ICly right now, because his information attempts haven't gone anywhere, but he's been talking to Bishamon and Jae-Ha about plot things, and could use somebody who's better at plotting and twisty thinking than he is.

Would you be up for them having some tea and information chats? Maybe have Tsuzuki drop by his temple or something (and maybe see him being a squish at Souji so he can go all shippy at them...)?

Yes to all of this! Hiji's good at plotty thinking, but low on information for the moment, so that should be mutually beneficial, anyway.

(and yes, please turn up while he's Totally Not Flirting with Souji sometime, it'll be great)

Yessss, Tsuzuki needs to coo over Sheryl's kittens! They are definitely adorable.

I need more CR with you so I'm just gonna throw Add at both of your boys >:(! He'll be way more sociable/nosy once he's a god anyway.

He's probably going to continue disliking/distrusting Hakkai since he's friends with Hibari but... he wouldn't be freaked out by the whole youkai thing for what it's worth. Aside from Add having his own weird mutations, he knows like three different people from his canon with varying degrees of being a demon, so hey nbd.

Hakkai can deal with being disliked/distrusted! He'll be amused that it's because of Hibari instead of himself, though. Mostly he earns his own distrust. I think he'd probably find Add rather entertaining, in fact, once he had the chance to get to know him.

Tsuzuki's probably just going to be bewildered. /laughing

Yes! Absolutely. Hakkai likes Davesprite so far ~~although I don't think either Shun or Hakkai is going to bend on their opinion anytime soon.~~

Sure! Davesprite has his sword back now so you know, totally not disconcerting sword through his stomach...~~probably not they both seem pretty set on their own opinions here~~

Kurama needs to swing by Gojyo's place while he's vanished and run into demon!Hakkai! Or something along those lines, the point is extending the circle of demon unity.

Yes! Absolutely. After a few days, Hakkai's going to go out looking for new places to hold the school classes ~~and also looking for Gojyo~~ so he'll be wandering around other temples too, if that works?

I'd like more CR between Guy and Hakkai, they got along pretty well (even if Hakkai distrusted Guy slightly?) in their first meeting, but I don't think they've interacted since then.

Absolutely! They did get along pretty well, and I'd enjoy throwing Hakkai back his way. (Distrust is sort of a compliment from him. It means he's impressed with Guy's capabilities.)
