Whether you're trying to figure out how your character would fare in this
setting, trying to get some samples together, or just dipping your toes in
the water, you've come to the right place! The Test Drive is here to make
your life easy by letting you see what the game is like without actually
joining it first. So here is how it works:
1: Post a starter with your character, including whether they are a god or
shinki in the subject line.
2: Act like your character is established enough in the setting to allow
your thread to go places.
3: Take on any god/shinki of your choosing, as long as they're not already
in the game!
4: Comment around to the other people on the meme.
5: Have lots of fun!

Yellowed Years
An old man can be found sitting silently on a bench and staring intently at
a yellowed photograph. It depicts two men standing next to each other, both
of them looking like they've just gotten in a fight, although they are both
smiling widely. Anyone who sits next to him will hear the tale of how he
and his best friend were always getting into trouble. Unfortunately, the
old man seems to be fading as one of the two men in the picture becomes
more and more vibrant.
Four very excitable young people are running around on the streets and
stopping whoever will glance their way for more than a second. They have
brightly colored hair and brightly colored clothes and if you'll give them
a moment of your time, they will talk your ears off about how the world is
too drab and dreary and needs to be brightened! Heck, they'll even try to
start dying your hair right there in the streets.
A small library is holding a special art show for local artists to put out
their works. There is one very particular stipulation on the rules of this
art show, though, and that's that all pieces of art must be created just
using paints and the artists' tongue. They need lots of art, though, if
it's going to be beneficial to them and they refuse to budge on the tongue
thing! So help them out by making some painstaking works of art.
There is an odd phenomenon spreading through the children of the city. Many
of them are starting to bounce around on their bottoms like some sort of
cartoon tiger! Parents are baffled and concerned by their children's
suddenly rubbery buttocks and are hoping to find some way to fix their kids
- or at the very least a way to keep them from bouncing around so much and
breaking so many things.
A particularly irritating group have taken up a number of corners on the
busier streets, preaching loudly about their savior and their religion.
Nearly everybody in the city is fed up with hearing them, mostly because
they keep actively stopping people in their daily routines and forcing
lectures on them. Also, there are some strange rumors about them kidnapping
people. Please get them off the corners...

Yellowed Years
[Yoon was just passing by when he saw the semi-translucent man. He doesn't know much about this world yet, but he's pretty positive that being faded like that isn't good.
So he does turn around and not sit, but rather stands in front of the guy with a first raised angrily.]
Hey! Do you see what's happening to you? Don't act so calm right now, oi!
[He peers over to look at the picture too, realizing this isn't something that can be solved with the content of his medicine bag.]
Zany Zeal
My hair is FINE! I'm as handsome as I can possibly get!
[He puts his hands over the sides of his head but the teens are insistent, reaching for the feather in his hair, which earns a slap to their hands.]
Don't you touch that!
[And he takes off running, but they're following.]
Arduous Art
[An art show sounded like such an interesting thing to Yoon! He really was excited to check it out, only to find out that they needed people to help make the art... and his tongue feels like a line he doesn't particularly want to cross. He needs it! For... things, very important things, not all of which he can remember, but he's sure taste is important in cooking at least.
He turns to other gawkers and artists in the area - when they aren't using their tongues for the artwork.]
So... this is... a cultural tradition of this region or what?
Zany Zeal
However, he stops when he hears yelling and was only somewhat aware of someone passing him. Almost unconsciously, a bubble of some sort seems to form around him, forcing the teens to stop before they get any closer to him.
He watches as the teens seem to look at each other before running away from him and the poor boy they were chasing.]

I didn't do it to help you. [Better yet, it's more like he didn't care, not really.]
