Welcome aboard, newcomers! And welcome back to those who have stuck around! It's the time of the month when we add newbies to our ranks. So here is a new Intro/CR Meme in order to get you set for the coming month.

What do you need to do? Simple! Fill in the handy form provided with as much or as little information as you want to and reply here. Fandoms: Various things but, recently - Norgami; Shokugeki no Souma; Persona; WTNV; Girl's Monthly Nozaki-kun; Death Parade; Zero Escape.

Character: Psyche
About: Basically, a very rational girl with a shounen sap heart who got conned into a contract with the powers that be to fight in a secret war between Order and Chaos. Said shounen sap heart got stomped on hard enough to make her a proper soldier for Order and even become the watchdog for their side to ensure people behave. As such, her instincts to protect order/life and commit to a cause while being critical of more chaotic alignments or threats are strong. However, despite realizing the necessity to commit unpleasant choices and acts, she's a sap at heart, even when she tries to pretend she's not. Show her something cute like a cat or get her into something like writing and that pretense will go out the window fast.

God/Shinki: Shinki
Plans: Mostly, just jumping in the settling in train. Psyche'll likely be trying to get info and understand the new order of things, especially since she's from another world and she's inquisitive enough to want to gather intel. Her god is Forrest atm, though, so she'll probably have thoughts on that as she tries to figure out what it means to be a shinki/serve a god...even though she's technically served a god before. She also would be interested in learning kanji, so she might look into that too (or, under wanted cr, anyone who'd help her with that would be cool).
Wanted CR: As she's just getting settled in, mostly the cliche of 'gimme anything'. I like both positive and negative cr - whether that's just giving her a book or writing buddy to hang with or giving her someone that'll push her buttons and twinge her Order instincts.
Unwanted CR: Nothing atm! Permissions aside, I'm open to talking something out and seeing where thigns go.

Hello! *waves* I saw Psyche on the TDM and really liked her feel as a character but since I didn't tag there clearly now is the time to do it. Also hello I am Revise, another newbie and player of this card game bird, Shun Kurosaki from Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V (in which card games are a weapon of war now, because this franchise).

Pushing buttons and setting off Order instincts is probably the kind of CR Shun would be pinging because he generally hovers around chaotic alignments, so if you're interested in that then I would like to offer Intro Shenanigans of some description.

Awww always nice to hear! And clearly it's never too late to tag : P. Nice to meet you too, Revise. I'm not familiar with Arc-V but Shun looks like all kinds of fun and Psyche's used to dealing with prickly people, even if she doesn't remember it. She'd even be both interested and discomforted by his soulless Shinki (because gawd doesn't the principle o that seem oddly familiar).

And I'd be def interested in Intro Shenanigans! I noticed you have a top level for Shun. If you want, I can tag in to his wonderful class on self-defense? Or if you have something else in mind, I'm okay with that.

Please come and be hugely creeped out by his soulless shinki with him, because he probably hates it already (war backstory means anyone with that not-quite human/unnaturally calm thing like they have is just going to be pinging his danger sense all the time because he'll think they're untrustworthy and now he has to live with the thing laughs).

Interestingly, Psyche can actually go into not-quite-human mode/unnaturally calm if she uses up her emotions with her powers. So it might lead to some fun CR if they interact when she's in that mode someday, especially after dealing with soulless shinki times.

Oh wow, he'd probably be squinting at her incredibly hard because the closest thing he'd probably have to relate that to is memory-wiping in his world (in the sense of "so these people who were trying to take revenge for this guy I kind of killed-ish now think I'm their bestest buddy and are totally chill around me") and the only people he's seen with that technology he wouldn't trust as far as he could throw them, though Shun can throw people pretty dang far.

Hi, Sleepy! Axel's definitely got enough chaos in him to annoy Psyche's rational side, so that could be very fun CR. Hakkai's also been teaching at least one other person to read kanji over at Elsa's temple school, so that could be an option for her!

And oboy, Axel's going to twinge her instincts on principle, particularly with the fact he's a Nora. Even if she doesn't fully remember how contracts with gods in her world works, she's just got strong-feelings oaths are intended to be sacred and special rather than playing gotta catch 'em all with names. However, she won't shun him on sight and might actually ask him about it so room for them to build something up?

Psyche would be very grateful for a chance to learn kanji from someone! Especially since he seems like a relatively sane person and has experience teaching so why not? Even if he is distrusting of heaven.

Haha, this will be fun! Everybody Axel's told about the Nora thing so far has been pretty accepting, so he's overdue for a real explosion.

... Also, hey, Hakkai would love to explain to her why he's worried about Heaven if she gets too blindly loyal ~

Sorry, Axel, she can't help it. It was her job in life to prevent things like that hopping the line, not encourage it. Which is fun, since I usually play characters who wouldn't care or would be more accepting of things like that.

Please do, Hakkai. She needs some bubble popping eventually sob.

I think she and Ayumu could have an interesting friendship, potential shinki tempting aside. I could see some deep conversations about god/shinki relationships and servitude.

And I think so! Especially given their conflicting views on how things like god/shinki relationships should work, since Psyche's likely to feel certain twinges against concepts like Nora'ing or shinki luring. At the very least, unless Ayumu were doing something dangerous Psyche won't just rat her out or shun her on sight. And gawd, Ayumu seems so level-headed and nice, otherwise.

I could see Ayumu being genuinely curious about Psyche's opinions on the subject. I doubt it'd make her change her mind but she can respect conviction even if it's a philosophy she doesn't necessarily agree with.
