I’m not some supernatural being and I’m not even some special type of human. I’m really not anyone remarkable. [ And she wasn’t saying this in a self-depricating manner. They were facts, and ones she had accepted as part of the cards she was dealt. ]
But trying is all I can do until I can actually do it. [ Maybe it wasn’t enough to do all that he had said right now, but it was enough for her to survive to this point, a point where she can actually learn to do more. It frustrated her, but that’s just where she was at the moment, and she can’t rush it. ]
And it’s because I don’t want those around me hurt again that I try. I won’t just stand by, not anymore.
