Plot of the Great Ape

Since Gohan currently has his tail again, it’s time for Heaven to suffer. Greatly. For those of you who are unfamiliar with DBZ canon, Gohan will be turning into this fun creature. In other words, the kind god will end up turning into a disastrous monster who will more than likely tear up the Heavens.

THAT BEING SAID:

- If you would like your character’s temple to be destroyed, please let me know— The great apes in DBZ canon are destructive in nature and nothing can really be done to stop them. Not unless you know their weakness, anyway.
- If you want to fight Gohan, please respond to— WARNING: Since great apes are usually regarded as the strongest form a Saiyan can take, they can take a lot of hits and are incredibly strong. See this for reference. Even when badly damaged, Gohan would still continue on fighting in this form, and since he’s only grown stronger over the years, the destructive powers he has in this form is multiplied by ten. Please note any sort of injuries your character might gain from this attack.
- How to beat Great Ape Gohan? The most effective way of defeating Gohan is cutting off his tail. Killing him has a chance, too, though that would be…harder to accomplish. I will be RNGing who will be the one successfully stop Gohan and talk to them about how they would like to approach this solution.

Cause:
Instead of the usual full moon triggering Gohan’s transformation, it will be due to a bad luck charm instead. This can be discovered once Gohan has been subdued/defeated.

Log: The log itself will go up hopefully by the end of this week.

It's hard to pick from my list, but I'll send Dust.

Gohan can hurt him as badly as you want.

Dust uses a sword and is very fast and agile, so his combat style will be to dodge or parry attacks and then hit hard and fast. If anyone around is using magic, he can amplify that a lot, which could do some damage.

Also it's not the fight, but I would be happy to offer Nia for healing purposes if anyone wants it!

Are there any limitations to the injuries? Because I don't want Gohan to cause drastic injuries to Dust unless you're perfectly okay with it.

But Dust's ability will be helpful, too! It can slow Gohan down enough for others getting a hit in.

He heals fast so it won't put him out forever if he's hurt badly, and it's a direction I haven't taken with him before so I don't mind it happening!

This would be less of a fight in the traditional sense but I'd like to offer up Petra as a bystander who gets caught up in this by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. She has a lot of fighting and survival experience against destructive hard-to-kill giants with only one weak point and this would be a great opportunity to draw that out of her.

She'd be more focused on simply surviving the encounter and making sure other people survive the encounter than fighting Gohan straight on since she doesn't have any of her fighting gear. She could also offer tactical and scouting support, relay messages and help coordinate groups, etc. She can also administer first aid and potentially punch out or kneecap anyone carelessly determined to throw their lives away if that's anyone's jam.

tl;dr - if there's room for an escort mission with a surprisingly competent escort during a giant rampaging ape crisis, I'd be down.

Edit: I talked to QC and her god, Wrathion, will come to assist her at some point after which they'd enter the fight properly. I'm figuring that limb loss and death will probably be a no go. Together, they'll be able to attack Gohan from the air though!

I don't want to make a clear winner/loser for this yet since I was thinking about RNGing who will get to stop Gohan.

However, in the meantime, we can think of a draw until I announce who's gonna end up being the ones to stop the rampage?

HELLO HEAVEN he's sorry his god is doing this and also sorry that he has no idea how to stop it.

Raichi's pretty tough for a mundane 15 year old but he is... still a mundane 15 year old and honestly stands no chance against something like this. He's also not typically enthusiastic about the idea of nora'ing, but for the purposes of like maybe helping out even a little, he'd be willing to go for it for this event, so if someone needs the extra muscle afforded by a berserker status inflicting shinki, absolutely let me know and we can hammer something out!

That said, I'm willing to let him get banged up pretty badly, though nothing majorly permanent like limb loss or death.

Goku isn't the saiyan version, sadly, but he's still pretty strong! His best asset is probably his mobility, in this case. He can jump around and keep moving and won't really get tired. He also has his staff, however useful that is.

Also you can beat him up as nuch as you want. No lost limbs or dying, but otherwise I'm cool with it.

He's not gonna die, his lost his memory too many times already!!! But he will live up to his alternate universe alien self and get the shit kicked out of him. I'm also down to have him team up with someone else!

This already got discussed on Plurk, but for anyone who might be interested in this for plot purposes who hasn't seen the plurk in question...

Bakugou will definitely take on Gohan! He's not really going to be able to do more than superficial damage to Gohan, while being too small and maneuverable with his quirk for Gohan to hit him, so they're going to essentially be in a Mexican standoff state for as long as Bakugou has the energy to fight. He'll be excellent at providing a distraction should anyone need it, or potentially luring Gohan away from places, and he has a flash grenade-esque ability where he can probably blind Gohan briefly. He'd be most effective teaming up with other fighters who can make use of Bakugou's ability to out-maneuver/distract/blind Gohan, though! So if anyone wants him for those purposes, feel free to let me know~

Ahem, Mordred will join the fight because there's no way she'd pass up the chance to fight a giant rampaging ape. That and she was grumpy friends with Gohan's Green Dad so it's the least she can do.

She's got a little experience with big beasties although as a shinki she doesn't... remember that...

Anyway! In combat, she uses a big magical sword and has superhuman strength and speed. She can also use her sword to throw sword beams bolts of destructive energy among other things.

She's also quite tanky and will keep fighting in spite of injuries so feel free to have Gohan go wild. I'm happy for her to break something (or a few somethings) if it means she accomplishes something useful— just no death or dismemberment please :D

What she can bring to the table are firery punches and kicks, an unnatural amount of strength, a knowledge of fighting things many times her size, and a complete inability to be critically or lethally injured (not that he’d be unwelcome to try). She’s unlikely to attempt throwing any fatal throws at Gohan considering he’s. You know. Not an ayakashi. But I figure she’d be good for attempting to disarm him with attacks directed at his arms and/or legs, or if all else fails I’d imagine she’d be useful for drawing his attention without getting squashed in the process, haha.

Since Gohan as an ape is practically a tank (even more so when he's not using his Mystic/Saiyan powers), I'd imagine that it'll still be able to take him off guard at least for others to attack. On the other hand, Yuna....will make good bait.
