[ Nara is beautiful, and clearly rich in history. Erwin has been to several places in Japan so far with an extensive historical background stretching back quite literally thousands of years, and he finds it as humbling as he does fascinating. Coming from a society where any history before the last century was simply erased, it's incredible to see and touch and feel places so ancient.
It's peaceful there, too--for the most part. Erwin has become used to going unnoticed on the Near Shore, but the deer clearly have other plans. Not that he minds. Watching Ginia be swarmed is quite possibly the best thing he's seen all day, which is saying something. He lets her suffer--as much as one can suffer, anyway, when surrounded by cute animals--for his entertainment for a moment longer before stepping in, pushing his way between two of the deer to stand beside her. ]
