TEST DRIVE # 18



Whether you're trying to figure out how your character would fare in this setting, trying to get some samples together, or just dipping your toes in the water, you've come to the right place! The Test Drive is here to make your life easy by letting you see what the game is like without actually joining it first. So here is how it works:

1: Post a starter with your character, including whether they are a god or shinki in the subject line.
2: Act like your character is established enough in the setting to allow your thread to go places.
3: Take on any god/shinki of your choosing, as long as they're not already in the game!
4: Comment around to the other people on the meme.
5: Have lots of fun!

To get you started, here are some ideas for thread-starters! Feel free to come up with your own ideas if these don't strike your fancy, though.



Haunted Hubcaps

A new craze has seized the city: extra-fancy, extra-shiny, spinning, LED-flashing hubcaps. For some reason, anyone who gets a good look at them in motion can't get them out of their head, and they'd do anything to get their own set. Scare out the ayakashi sparking this new fad, or just go steal yourself some hubcaps.

Intense Idols

There's a new TV drama starring the summer's hottest boy band, and it's filming on location right in the city. Just one problem: except for the stars, their crew and actors keep quitting! Help out with a walk-on part or try to figure out what's scaring everyone off set before the whole show is ruined.

Jaded Joggers

The summer heat seems to have had a particularly tough effect on would-be joggers in this Tokyo suburb. Everywhere you look, there's someone in a track suit sitting on the curb complaining. There's got to be an ayakashi behind this, and they need help before everyone's exercise routine is ruined!

Kitchen Kerfluffle

A high-end bakery is desperately seeking new and unique ideas to stand out from the competition. They've announced a baking contest: first prize gets featured as the creator of their newest recipe! Tokyo's best home cooks and food bloggers have showed up for the competition, and tensions are running high. Bring your favorite recipe to compete or help taste test the desserts.

Lugubrious Llamas

The Amazing Maurice and his Camelid Companions are performing in Tokyo for an exclusive one-night engagement, but Maurice's performing llamas are all down in the dumps. They won't get on their unicycles, they won't balance balls on their noses, and the trumpet-playing llama has spat her cud into the trumpet in protest. Find a way to cheer them up in time for the show.
