I read "bizarre misunderstandings" and immediately thought "clearly I should throw possibly the single most rambly, hard to follow person ever at him". also davesprite needs cute friend things too so i feel this is a good plan

I'm imagining him trying to explain what he meant and then somehow making it even harder to understand.

Depending on how strong his nonverbal game is, Shin-ah might end up understanding him anyway X) which would be kind of cool to see in its own right!

If all else fails, maybe he can write a tl;dr version in bright orange glowy writing on the nearest available surface (because clearly that's not going to backfire in any way).
