There's something else deep down he can feel, more power that's inside himself but he can't figure out how to bring that out.
So instead, when Gohan does speed past him, Goten flips around and cups his hands together and shoots a blast that helps propel him forward ahead of Gohan--but he can't do ki blasts the whole way to Aymeric's so when Gohan catches up and starts to pass him yet again, Goten shoots above him just high enough to drop down on the older demi-saiyan's back, hitching a ride.]
