Fire made and people starting to get nervous, Alice pulled the fire alarm. The few customers wasted no time in abandoning their seats and meals, many if not all of them on their cellphones either calling in the emergency.... or recording it.

The staff were gone too, several of them saying "This isn't worth the pay!"

Alice didn't quite understand what that meant but didn't question it, instead, she came out from where she was hiding and smiled.

"You did it! Splendid! Now let's find out what's making everyone sick!" She grabbed Takuma's hand and pulled him into the kitchen. It looked relatively clean, as clean as a kitchen abandoned in the middle of meals could be, in any case. The walls were white, the tables were stainless steel.

Alice went over to one of the food dishes and examined it.

"It doesn't smell or look rotten," she set it down, not willing to taste it, even if it wouldn't kill her. "Does anything seem amiss to you?"
