Tristepin gave a start when a voice scolded him from above, and he looked up with a frown.
"My no man's what?" he asked, scratching his head. This gave aforementioned villain time to dash forward and land a good solid punch right to Tristepin's jaw, sending him reeling backward with a grunt of pain.
He didn't fall, though--it would take more than that to knock him off his feet--and straightened quickly, rubbing his jaw with one hand and glowering at the decidedly startled man who threw the punch. Clearly this fellow wasn't used to his punches being so easily rolled with.
"Whoever's talking to me, could you hold that thought until I'm done here?" he asked, still not quite sure where the voice had come from or what it wanted. "I'd love to chat, but I'm a little busy at the moment."
He could worry about weird voices from the sky later. Right now, there were bad guys to vanquish!
