Huh...? Well, I don't really have a use for that sort of thing, but... If you could get me some other things, I'd be happy to pay for them. [She begins to list some medical-grade drugs, like morphine and the like, and smiles cheerfully]
None of the hospitals are willing to give me any-- Huh? Oh no, it's not for me. It's for the operations, of course.
[Considering that what she's asking for is too much of a risk to get, the people decline and tell her off for wasting their time, but Fran doesn't seem upset by that so much as the fact they won't do it at all.
So she turns to the nearest person and gives a little wave to get their attention] How about you? I really need anesthesia the most, I think...
[Kooky Kickoff. Warning for mild body horror/eye horror]
[Fran's really just trying to avoid being grabbed herself, casually shoving bystanders in the way so they can be forced into some sit instead. Dammit man, she's a doctor not an entertainer!
Besides, she's answered a prayer not too long ago that hadn't ended so well for her, and her body is still recovering!
Case in point, when she's suddenly violently jostled from behind, making her stumble forward and... her eyeball pops right out.] Oops! Excuse me, excuse me...
[She claps a hand over the socket and is on hands and knees now, accidentally tripping people as she tries to track down the wayward eye. Maybe it's come to rest by your foot, maybe you're one of the people accidentally tripping over her as she crawls on the ground. Either way the eye has some good luck to avoid being stepped on this long]
Excuse me, please don't move so suddenly, I need to find it--! [She could always get a new one somewhere but, like, it's her eye thanks]
[Manic Molting 1.0]
Hmm, this is strange. [Fran crouches down, picking up a feather to examine as she thinks out loud] Birds don't molt this much under normal circumstances. Waterfowl lose all their flightfeathers at once, but this isn't the case here. They're supposed to just be replacing damaged feathers with new ones, if they lose all these feathers they're not going to be able to fly right.
Is something stressing them out...?
[She stands in time to watch a bird slam into a building due to losing too many of these feathers and it falls to the ground, dead. Fran's eyes widen in dismay and she hurries over, picking it p in her bare hands]
Oh no, the poor thing! [She turns the bird over in her hands and blinks away a few tears, sighing deeply.] Well, I'm sure i could use this... Maybe i can find out if there's something inside causing this.
[She casually pulls a scalpel from her coat pocket and looks around] Excuse me? Is there a lab or something near-by I could get into? Just for a few minutes.
[This isn't suspicious at all]
[Manic Molting 2.0 Warning for er, bird body horror and surgery?]
[It's a bit of an epidemic now, birds falling from the sky and dying from lack of feathers. It's a shame, but thankfully Fran is on the case! There are a couple of such dead birds in front of Fran in the mouth of an alley-- thanks to the whole 'gods not seen by humans' thing, Fran isn't really worried about being seen.]
Geez, I really can't let this go like this! Begin the operation! [Wait where did those two extra arms come from?? And the scalpels and--??
Fran wastes no time in mutilating the three birds to use the undamaged parts in the least-damaged bird body.
